Energy efficiency is key to controlling the cost
of heating and cooling your home. Today’s
minimum standard as directed by the federal
government is 13 SEER (Seasonal Energy
Efficiency Ratio) for cooling and up to 7.8 HSPF (Heating Seasonal Performance Factor) for heating. Older installed units in many homes
may have actual operational efficiencies of 6 SEER or less when cooling and 6.0 HSPF or less when heating with a heat pump. Goodman’s 13 SEER Packaged Air Conditioners and Heat Pumps, which also offer up to 7.8 HSPF, are significantly more efficient than these older models. |
